Melbourne Excursion Day 5

This is a pretty short entry..

the last few days will be short entries.. keke

on this very day, we decided to roam ourselves without the 2 old ones.. because I wanted to roam the city and I have researched on a place I would want to go.. scroll further and you will know where.
it abt 10am in the morning.. and look!! the moon is still hanging there..

We alighted at Parliament House Station... and just outside is
the Princess Theatre
I keep having trouble getting a good shot of the architecture

I enjoyed how artistic this place is...
Trees dressed in lace~

Mommy in pretty retro chair

This is a Mail Box..^_^

pretty garden

Funky Custume shop
And
Here
I
am..
I saw this online while looking for places to go.. and i have been chanting about going!

As the name of the shop implies, the whole store is filled with not only just books..
BUT
all sorts of COOK BOOKS!
How cool is that!!
for those who are interested in baking cooking or just food.. pop in and surprise urselves.

We begin hoping on the free tram to Waterfront
Its like an outlet store for the tourists.. many souvenir shops are located here..
but not cheep!

I kind of feel the Parents for sale quite interesting..
if you can see it.. it says
" For sale! Parents, Buy one get one FREE"
Wahahaha

with no lunch and all.. we stopped by this cafe...

Smoked Salmon Quiche
*I think I made better Quiche at home.. *

Chicken Spinach Pie

This Koala is a toy that cant stop laughing.. u stay in the shop long enough.. you will laugh with it too.. I have a video of its laughter..
pardon the commotion we made while recording..
we wanted to buy it home.. but haiz..

By then, we are pretty much out of $$ haha so we have to call it a day earlier than expected..
My dinner was MCD! have been wanting to eat the Angus Beef! and its YUMZ with a price..=X

Was tempted to but their Mc FLurry but look at the price..!!!
*sucks air* AUD4.15
multiply that by 1.38 and you will know it cost more than double compared to sg

they have a premium menu.. how cool!! and yummy is that!

Since we are home early... I need supper!! other than hving my Magnum Ice Cream.. i decided to try this..

Chicken in a can..
and it din taste good. =(
I still prefer tuna

Upon coming to disturb the momentum of the old ones, I bought them cookies from cookie museum

the cookies looked lovely and I din want to miss a shot of them..

Ciao!

Melbourne Excursion Day 4

This day is another slow one..It pretty heart warming and lovely.
However, at the end of the day, I was on angst, which I will explain why as we move along..

I was brought to eat buffet at this family restaurant..
not much of a mention when the food is just normal~

The plan was to head down to Marilyn's Home Town and visit her mom at the retirement village ^_^

Left is Marilyn and right is her mom, Aunt Leila
Don't they look alike?!
Aunt Leila is a wise woman. She is a book writer. and bakes pretty much.
her place is very well kept and she is very independent in this cosy house of hers.
I admired her. Being at this age and so self sufficient.

When we told Marilyn how wonderful her mom was, she just replied us with a wistful smile: "Is she?!"

this view is located just outisde the retirement village

These birds were on the dining table.. and I cant help but snap pictures of them..
and of cuz posted the best one ^_^

-Welcome to the house of Aunt Leila-

Do you believe that this is just a retirement home?!
no right?!
Aunt Leila stays in this house by herself.. with other houses around of course ^_^

its so far fetched from our pathetic old folks home la!

Its just like another house on the street. Well maintained by themselves.

a small garden for the retirees to plant anyting they want

When I get older and no one to take care of me..I would like to reside in a retirement home like this.. ^_^

After the amazement of this place, we head on to Mornington!

Marilyn insists we have to come to the beach..
and I loved it alot..
the view is breathtaking and i cant stop taking pictures!!

The clear waters.. almost similar to Redang

The Sky and Sea is comparable to the scene I see on my cruise

Even boats have parking lots..

Many peeps fished at the pier.. and the stone chairs are lovely
it is a wonderful place to chill for the afternoon.

I suggested having Fish & Chips which I spotted along the way for dinner..
But the old Myke says: "Neh!" We go home! =(

I din know 7 eleven have their own petrol kiosk!

When we reached home.. I was disappointed and my mom noticed.. so we told the old folks we will be walking to COLES for a walk.. since its still very early in the evening

Pink headed bird on the park. =)

@COLES
It has became my favorite supermarket as there are so many things to see and buy..
so many new things to discover too!

Chicken flakes in a can like Tunas..

Egg sections
*Cluck*

These are spread that goes with bread..
who say it has to only be jam and butter.. ^_^

While shopping at COLES and making the staff busy when assisting us, Marilyn came as a surprise to us!!!
she drove here and told us she was worried we might lose our way, especially when its getting dark..
Awwww how sweet!!

I was hungry.. I told my mom I wanted to eat...
so we went to La Pochetta again!
(well its only across the street =P)

this time I tried this Bread Chicken with cheese!!
the portion is HUGE! and importantly delicious

We ordered a small Hawaiian Pizza too

In between Marilyn kept fidgetting as to whether she should call Myke.. and their conversation went like this
Myke: Where are you??
She: I came to find Mari and Hazel, now we are at La Pochetta
Myke: What?! at La Pochetta?!
She: Yes they were hungry..
Myke: you did not tell me you left the house!!
she: I did!
Myke: No!

someting like that and she came back to the table wistfully.. telling us all about it.. hahaha
I was so hungry I finished what we ordered! maybe because of my earlier disappointment too.
Myke wanted us to eat left overs from the day before... and I told my mom that I did not come here to eat left overs! I was pretty pissed..
Well what to do.. I am the 'pampered zeh' of the house.. *BLEAH!*
